Benediction for Christian Post Offline Edition: Dr. Throckmorton

When you come to a fork in the road, take it

In thinking about the expansion of the Christian Post into a print edition, I thought about the sage advice of Yogi Berra: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it." Many Internet news sources stay on the Internet, however the Christian Post is expanding the scope of its work to the world of print. I pray they are as successful in print as they have been on the Internet.

I feel privileged to offer comment and blessing for the inaugural print issue. This comprehensive new source for news and analysis has exploded on the scene at a crucial point in our nation's history. The scope of the Christian Post is impressive. Clearly, they are walking down nearly every fork in the road. The Christian Post provides fair and balanced reporting on events nationally and across the globe but they don't stop there. With sections on culture, technology, society, missions and much more, the Christian Post conveniently offers readers the opportunity to keep current with what's happening in the church and the world. For me a visit to Christianpost.com is a daily occurence, part of my routine to keep up with the events of the day.

With an election year upon us and the culture changing at a dizzying pace, the church needs reliable reporting that moves with the pace of the times. As an Internet resource, the Christian Post is already fulfilling that role. Now, with the move to a print edition, the Christian Post will bring its distinctive mix of news, information, cultural reporting and commentary to an even wider audience. This resource has been a blessing to me so I am glad to return the favor and offer words of blessing in return. Congratulations to the hard working staff at the Christian Post and may you have God's blessing as you take this new fork in the road.
