Beyonce Pregnant: 'Countdown' Singer Says Jay-Z Will Be an 'Inspirational' Father

Pregnant R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles recently opened up about her relationship with hubby Jay-Z and the kind of parent she believes the 41-year-old rapper will be to their future child, which is due next year.

"Of course he will be a good father," said Knowles, according to Showbizspy.com "His music has inspired millions of people over the last two decades, but he inspires the people around him on a more personal level, too. He's an inspirational artist, friend and husband and his next step is to be an inspirational father."

Knowles and Jay-Z were married in 2008, and this year, the singer announced her pregnancy at the end of a performance for the song "Love on Top" at the MTV Video Music Awards. News of the pregnancy set a record for the largest number of tweets on Twitter for an event per second, according to The Huffington Post, with 8,868 tweets being posted per second.

Just last week, good friend and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland let the news slip that the couple is having a girl during an interview with Us Weekly after winning Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Television Personality at the Ultimate Women Awards.

"I'm so happy for my sister and her husband, she said. They're so happy in this moment right now, as they should be. They've made a little bundle of love, I'm so excited for them."

Rowland then added, "I have no idea what I'm going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won't be spoiled but she will be very well looked-after."

The couple, however, has yet to confirm the rumors.

Rowland told Reuters, "She's wonderful, I actually hit her up today to see how she was feeling. I get a weekly update now, and I'm waiting for my update, I miss her very much."
