Biola University expands its reach into San Diego this week with a new site that will serve working adults who wish to further pursue their education and training.

Called “Beyond the 95 Acres,” the new site in San Diego is an extension of Biola University’s main campus in the city of La Mirada, Calif. On Thursday, Sept. 22, a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held to celebrate the new San Diego site. The public will have the opportunity to tour the campus and meet faculty and staff.

The San Diego site is the newest of seven locations that offer the Adult Degree Programs. Other sites that have already been established include La Mirada, Chino, Inglewood, Orange County, Thousand Oaks, and Palm Desert.

As part of Biola University’s School of Professional Studies, the Adult Degree Programs allow students to pursue one of two degrees: a B.A. in Psychology or a B.S. in Organizational Leadership – an interdisciplinary degree combining subjects such as business, biblical studies, and communication, with an emphasis on management and leadership skills. Students must have completed at least two years of college prior to entering the program.

Founded in 1908, Biola University has since grown into a major university recognized for its dedication to scholarship and excellence. The private Christian university currently offers 145 academic programs within its six schools.
