Black Friday 2011: Meijer Electronics Sale Features Massive Discounts

Meijer is the latest retailer to announce its Black Friday deals offering massive discounts on televisions and other electronics.

The retailer will offer the Westinghouse 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV for $249 and the Viore 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV for $349.

For Blu-ray fans, Meijer will price the Samsung Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player at $99. Assorted Blu-ray Movies will sell for $11 each.

If consumers are looking for digital cameras, the Nikon Coolpix S6100 16 MP Digital Camera will go for $119, marked down from $169. The Fujifilm FinePix S2950 14 MP Digital Camera is on sale for $159, marked down from $229.

Gamers will not be left out, as the PlayStation 3 Holiday Bundle will be on sale for $199.

Retailers are fighting for shoppers’ attention as the biggest shopping day of the year approaches. Stores originally concealed their deals from consumers, but more recently, they have released their sales in an attempt to get shoppers excited for Black Friday.

Walmart is offering the iPod Touch packages starting at $195, Xbox Kinect Bundles for $299, Canon EOS Rebel T21 for $684.95 and Nikon Coolpix cameras for just $99. They are also offering the original Barnes and Noble Nook for $89.88.

Costco will offer $20 off the JBL on Stage Micro III portable iPhone and iPod touch speaker. They are also discounting $55 from the Tom-Tom Via 1530TM portable GPS and $30 off the Magellan Roadmate 2120T-LM portable GPS.

Radio Shack will sell the Nook Color for $199, and it comes with a $20 dollar gift card. The 2.1 Channel 8-Watt Speakers are on sale for $9.99, the iHome Slim Folio Case for iPad 2 will sell for $9.99 and the Nikon Coolpix 16.1 MP Digital Camera is on sale for $119.99.

A purchase of the $79 Kindle or the Xbox360 and Kinect bundle for $199 will come with a free $10 gift card at Radio Shack.

Holiday retail sales are expected to rise 3 percent and 212 million people are projected to go shopping on Black Friday, spending around $39 billion, according to Shopper Trak.
