Black Friday 2011: Walmart Reveals 'Super Saturday' Deals

The early preview will highlight the Black Friday deals on electronics, toys, household items, and clothing. Analyst Britt Beemer attributes the move to Walmart’s attempt to identify who their core customers are, and told CNN he thought it was smart to do so.

“They might get a half a million or a million people to sign up so it could be a very successful strategy for them,” said Beemer.

Walmart did not announce when the preview would be available, but said it “will reveal the specials soon.” The retailer did state that its “Super Saturday” sales would take place Nov. 5, starting at 11 a.m. nationwide.

“Super Saturday” will involve sales on items such as a 42-inch Sanyo LCD TV for $398, marked down from the $448; a color Nook e-book reader for $199, down from $249; an Xbox 360 250GB console for $399, plus a $50 gift card; a 10-cup coffee maker for $39, a Transformers Ultimate Optimus Prime for $59.88, and a Playskool Elmo for $54.88.
