'Bleach spoilers news: Predictions for chapter 640 will include Pernida defeating Mayuri

In "Bleach" chapter 639, many fans saw how Captain Mayuri's fighting skills shone as he revealed his modified Bankai during a battle against Pernida. Although it looks like he had gotten the upper hand during the action-packed sequence, and despite using his secret weapon, rumors have it that it could take turn for the worse.

As readers know, Mayuri was severely injured in a surprise attack last chapter. However, he was able to recover from it by summoning a new version of the Bankai. The mad scientist was successful in giving his new Bankai the perfect way to counteract the Soul King's nerve ability. However, despite the Captain regaining control of the fight, Nemu wasn't too happy about his move. This has somehow given the readers a vibe that something is not right.

According to Kaleo, fans might see Captain Mayuri's demise. After all, the Bankai seemed to be Mayuri's last resort, as it hasn't really been used in a while. This means that the situation has become so dire that it he had to come to the decision of channeling his weapon. Although it looks like Mayuri was winning, the Soul King's left arm was showing a symbol of "progress," so the chances of Pernida overcoming Mayuri's Bankai is still highly probable. Worst case scenario is that once Pernida defeats Mayuri's Bankai, there would be no moves left for him.

One of the ways the Soul King can turn the tables around is by using his ability to multiply itself, and this would be most effective once it is inside Mayuri's Bankai. This would be quite similar to a scene in the manga "Naruto," where Naruto defeated Orochimaru's snake after he had been swallowed.

Fans eagerly await the fate of Captain Mayuri in the upcoming chapter 640.
