'Blindspot' Season 3 Spoilers: Upcoming Season to Welcome New Characters With 'Heavy Connection' to Jane

"Blindspot's" Jaimie Alexander has revealed some spoilers to get the fans excited for the upcoming third season of the television drama series.

During the Emmy red carpet event on Sunday, the actress talked about what viewers can expect from her character, Jane Doe, as well as Sullivan Stapleton's Kurt Weller, in the highly anticipated third season of "Blindspot."

"Oh my God, you are not going to believe what we are doing this year," she exclaimed during an interview with TVLine's Michael Ausiello at the red carpet. "I didn't believe it!" she added.

She also revealed that the viewers are going to see new characters, who will have a "very heavy connection" to Jane, but her character will not be able to remember them right away.

"You guys'll be shocked. It's crazy," the actress also teased.

Another thing to be excited about, according to Alexander, is the show's fans finding out that both Jane and Weller have huge secrets.

When "Blindspot" season 2 ended, the series saw a two-year time jump. When it returns to NBC this fall, the show is going to address what happened during the gap through flashbacks. This will give the viewers a chance to learn what happened to the characters in the last two years.

Meanwhile, it was announced earlier this month that "Shades of Blue" star Kristina Reyes has landed a recurring role on the drama series. According to Entertainment Weekly, she will play a socialite with a complicated past named Avery.

Making her debut in the fifth episode, it is still unclear if she is going to be one of the new characters who are connected to Jane, but it is said that she will cross paths with Weller. And while further details are being kept under wraps, she will likely play an important role in the show.

"Blindspot" season 3 premieres Friday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
