Casey Anthony Investigators Asked Questions by Media Today

Personnel from Orange County Sheriff's Office responsible for part of the investigations surrounding the Casey Anthony trial will be addressing the media this afternoon in a 90-minute briefing.

Criminal investigators are scheduled to attend along with a forensics supervisor, a crime-scene investigator, and a computer crimes deputy. The team will answer questions pertaining to their work on the case. All of those scheduled to attend testified during the trial of 25-year-old Casey Anthony.

Casey Anthony was accused of killing her 2 year old daughter, Caylee in 2008. On July 5th 2011, she was found not guilty of charges related to the toddler's death, but guilty of lying to law-enforcement officers.

Casey's case received national media attention in the United States, with newspapers and magazines hailing it as "one of the biggest ratings draws in recent memory" and "the social media trial of the century.”

Casey's daughter Caylee Anthony's skeletal remains were discovered on December 11, 2008, almost five months after she was reported missing by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony.

Mother Casey did not report her daughter missing, and was later indicted on charges of first degree murder.

Casey has maintained that Caylee died accidentally by drowning in the family swimming pool, and claimed she was innocent of murder throughout her trial.

The Christian Post reported earlier today how upon her release Casey may try to disguise herself to escape the massive media interest that is sure to follow her.

A source close to the defense team shared with the Chicago Sun-Times that Anthony is considering various disguises to alter her appearance. It is thought that she has rejected cosmetic surgery as an option even though it would be the most efficient option to hide her profile.

“Casey really does not completely understand the depth of hatred out there,” the insider said.

“She’s fully aware of the various death threats of course but she thinks that’s isolated to relatively few nutcases.”

Casey Anthony is set to be released from prison on Sunday, July 17th 2011.
