Casey Anthony: Publishers Reject Book Deal Saying, 'We Don't Want Blood Money'

An NBC producer is trying to score a book deal with Casey Anthony, but the biggest publishing houses have reportedly come out to say they are not interested.

The original story has the NBC producer in talks with literary agents and said Casey Anthony agreed to do a network interview if he could get a book deal as well, reported TMZ.

The gossip site contacted three of the biggest publishing houses in the country and they all declined to have any involvement with the book.

Simon and Schuster explained: “We are 100% not interested. We are NOT NOT NOT interested. Simon & Schuster is not publishing, and has never intended to publish, any book by Casey Anthony, her family, or any member of her team.”

Harper Collins also said: “We are planning on publishing the Prosecutor’s book who was involved in the Casey Anthony case, so we have no plans in releasing a Casey Anthony book. We’re sticking with the prosecutor.”

Penguin Group stated: "We have no plans on doing a book deal with Casey Anthony."

One publisher even said, "...it's blood money," TMZ reported.

There will already be a book based on her murder trial written by Jeff Ashton with the release slated for November.

Listings on websites like Amazon and Barnes & Noble have the book called "Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony."

The book is 256 pages and will be put out by William Morrow publishers.

Casey Anthony was in a lengthy trial with charges against her for the disappearance and murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, but was acquitted in July.
