Chris Brown's Mother Confesses Love for Rihanna Amid Breakup Rumors

Chris Brown's mother is reportedly professing her love for Rihanna amid the pair's breakup rumors, his father disapproving of their union, and speculation about Brown's new song "I Can't Win" being inspired by the latter.

Brown, the 23-year-old singer songwriter, fueled rumors about breaking things off with his on-and-off again famed pop star girlfriend when media outlets like Hollywood Life reported that he unfollowed her on Twitter. However, Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins made it clear that she still supported the 25-year-old Barbadian singer.

Hawkins recently lauded Rihanna after attending her "Diamonds World Tour" concert in New Jersey recently and publicly declared her love for Brown's most recent love interest.

"Your show was incredible tonight," Brown's mother tweeted. "Thanks for everything we love you."

Although Brown's mother seems to love Rihanna, his father, Clinton Brown, recently spoke out against the singers' union to The New York Daily News.

"I personally really didn't want him and Rihanna back together," the Brown patriarch told The NY Daily News. "You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical."

While the status of Brown and Rihanna's relationship remains to be seen among conflicting media reports, the former recently released an emotionally charged song that he penned about a relationship called "I Can't Win."

"When you called, I would follow, Now the only thing you love is a bottle," Brown croons on the record. "You always say I'm done and finished, (Expletive), I'm wrong you're right / Please God help us. I guess I'm gonna leave it up to you tonight."

Although Rihanna has yet to respond to the tune, the pair have been making headlines for people questioning their relationship in recent weeks. Last month, Rihanna revealed some of her issues with love.

"How many of you are in love? How many of you hate love," Rihanna questioned before performing "What Now" at her Los Angeles "Diamonds World Tour" concert earlier this month. "How many of you don't (expletive) understand it? I'm in that group."
