Who ever said that the good old hymns aren't popular anymore? One local Christian music duo showed that the old ditties still have power.
The Singing Contractors, a couple of, well, singing contractors, performed upon request the classic "Old Rugged Cross."
Visiting a woman in the hospital, they ask her what song she wants them to sing. At first she says "How Great Thou Art," but changes her mind to "Old Rugged Cross."
The Singing Contractors do not disappoint, creating a beautiful a capella version of the holy song.
Not even the ringing of a random cell phone near the end spoils the sacred rendition, offered for the delight of the hospitalized woman.
Aaron and Josh, the men behind the Singing Contractors, have received enough support from the public that they will soon be releasing a CD with a few songs.
