Cissy Houston Gave Bobbi Kristina Blessing to Get Married to Nick Gordon?

Cissy Houston, the mother of the late singer Whitney Houston, reportedly agrees with her 20-year-old granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown getting married.

Brown recently confirmed on Twitter that she has married longtime family friend Nick Gordon. While Houston previously disagreed with her granddaughter marrying at such a young age, it seems she may be singing a new tune.

"We saw her at our cousin's Sweet 16 and she gave us our blessing," Brown told TMZ.

Brown took to her Instagram account to make the announcement, after over one year of the pair announcing their on-and-off again engagement.

"#Aviary@nickdgordon! #HappilyMarried• SO#Inlove," the daughter of Houston and singer Bobbi Brown wrote on Instagram. "If you didn't get it the first time that is.."

The actress and aspiring singer revealed that the pair were planning a ceremony in the near future.

"Don't think 4 a sec that a ceremony isn't in store this year …," she tweeted. "They're will be a wedding & a gorgeous1at that (: #nomoredetailstho!..It feels good to be happy yeah?"

In an open letter released to the public last year, Houston spoke about her concerns for her granddaughter getting married.

"Krissi, all I want for you is your good health and your happiness. I want you to have a good life that you can be proud of," she wrote in the letter. "Do I want you to get married in the near future? No, I don't. I think you're too young and I wish you'd wait."

Brown's grandmother wanted her to know that she would never badmouth Nick Gordon, her fiance.

"I'm supposed to worry about you. I'm supposed to wonder If Nick or ANY man is good enough for you, My Baby's Baby," Houston wrote in the letter. "I'm not angry with Nick and I don't think, nor did I ever say anything hurtful about him to anyone. I have NEVER publicly commented on your personal life and I don't intend to."
