Danielle Fishel Reveals Wedding Details: 'Ben Savage Will Always be First Husband'

Danielle Fishel is getting married soon and rejoining her family from "Boy Meets World" for the new series "Girl Meets World." Fishel recently revealed wedding details and said she will always view co-star Ben Savage as her "first husband."

"Midnight blue is my main color," Fishel told Us Weekly. "The color I'm wearing, basically. I think it's perfect for a this-time-of-year wedding. Kind of big, like 250 people. It's going to be really fun! I'm really excited about it."

Fishel and fiancé Tim Belusko will be married and honeymoon in Maui before starting work on "Girl Meets World," which will pick up a few years later than where "Boy Meets World" left off. Fishel is excited to be back at work on the new series and back with co-star Ben Savage.

"We start filming in November," Fishel said. "Ben and I take the kids out for dinner occasionally. We've tried to bond, and I think we're already a real-life family, so it's going to be nice. [Ben] will always be my first husband. Any time I'm around Ben, I feel like I'm at my most comfortable because we've been together for 20 years, so it's been nice to be back together."

The two grew up on the series, and their characters fell in love and, against all odds, managed to survive Jr. High, High School, and college before the series ended and they left for New York. Now Cory (Savage) and Topanga (Fishel) have been married for several years and are parents of a girl trying to find her own place in the world.

Does Fishel's soon-to-be real-life husband have any qualms about her special relationship with Savage?

"He totally accepts it," she said. "I mean, he knows that Ben and I have been together for a long time as an on-screen couple and to a certain extent when you've been with someone for 20 years like that, it's impossible to have none of that rub off a little bit in person."

"Girl Meets World" is scheduled to air next year on the Disney Channel.
