Demi Moore Finally Emerges on Twitter

Demi Moore has broken her silence on Twitter since announcing her divorce from Ashton Kutcher.

The 49-year-old actress is well-known for being very active on Twitter, and since the end of her six-year marriage to Kutcher was announced the media has speculated over Moore's account.

Moore, still tweeting under the Twitter handle @MrsKutcher, broke her Twitter silence with a message about appreciation on Thursday.

"Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving! (sic)," wrote Moore.

Moore's soon-to-be ex-husband has also noticeably silent on the social media site. The "Two and a Half Men" actor is also well-known for being active on Twitter, and also returned to the site on Thanksgiving Day.

"I'm thankful for my family, friends, you, & time to reach my potential. What are you thankful for?" Wrote Kutcher.

Kutcher had not written on his account since Nov. 17, the day Moore issued a statement about the divorce.

Moore’s divorce announcement said: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain valued and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”

During happier times, the former couple would often use Twitter to communicate with each other and with fans. After an ill-informed post about the Penn State sex scandal, Kutcher has relinquished his account to his management team for secondary editorial measure.

Shortly after Moore’s statement, Kutcher posted on Twitter, “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK.”
