In the study, the shows most streamed in every state last year were analyzed. By the end of the study, it was found out that "Divorce" was most streamed in 2016, beating other popular HBO shows like "Westworld," "Oz" and "Game of Thrones."

The study only focused on the most watched on HBO's streaming sites and did not include shows that could be watched live on the HBO channel. It turned out that "Divorce" was the most favored show in 12 out of 50 states, while "Westworld" was the most favored in only three states, namely Washington, Massachusetts and Colorado.

Other shows that turned out to be among the most favored were "Silicon Valley," "The Wire," "Deadwood" and "Treme." "Game of Thrones," the most popular HBO series, is barely on the map of the most streamed on HBO's streaming sites but it has broken ratings records for HBO.
