'Duck Dynasty' Cast Members Meet, Pray, Lay Hands on Cancer-Stricken Teen

A cancer-stricken teenager in frail health made an effort to see "Duck Dynasty" cast members via ambulance last Friday for a family event held in Fairhope, Ala., where Alan Robertson laid hands and prayed over her.

Skye Loustalot, who suffers from osteosarcoma, a cancerous bone tumor that usually develops during the teenage years, wanted to meet the bearded clan and after undergoing surgery two weeks ago to remove a mass from her abdomen, ambulance staffers arranged to transport her to the Bay of the Holy Spirit Jubilee, a festival-sized event where members of the cast were speaking and greeting fans.

Alan Robertson, the former pastor of the bunch, along with his parents, Phil and Miss Kay, and uncle Si approached Loustalot, who braved the rain for the outdoor event on her stretcher and was moved to tears with their prayers.

"I pray that you'll bless her with healing and restoration," Robertson said, reports AL.com. "I pray for her family tonight, Father. I pray you'll lift them up in a very powerful way. We're so glad to meet her, Father and give her courage, in Jesus' name."

Following their meet-and-greet, Loustalot took to Facebook and gushed about meeting the family, but was particularly excited about meeting uncle Si.

"Had so much fun with my family at the Duck Dynasty event it was a blast!!," she wrote. "Thank you mom and dad for standing out in the rain for me I know you guys got soaked and y'all were freezing but I know you did it for me I love y'all and thanks to my sister too and both my brothers I love all of y'all I'm so glad I got to hold Si's hand it was so amazing!!!!! Love my family and the people who made it happen!!!"

Prior to meeting Loustalot, the cast members found out about her situation after she had surgery to amputate her leg in September. Knowing that she was a hard core fan of the show, the staff at the hospital that she was staying in contacted the organizers of the Holy Spirit Jubilee event in an attempt to facilitate a dialog among her and the cast members.

They were expecting at least a phone call from the Robertsons, however, they were surprised when Loustalot received a special video message featuring a few members of the "Duck Dynasty" clan where uncle Si tells her, "we love and you and we're praying for you."

During the event, the Robertsons were a part of a Q&A discussion where uncle Si admitted to favoring crime shows over their own, which Loustalot said was her favorite part of the night.

At the festival the Robertsons also spoke about family values and their new projects, including their recent books and their new wine label called Duck Commander, after their family duck call business.

Last week, their entry into wine making prompted Free Will Baptist Family Ministries in Tennessee to cancel Willie Robertson's appearance at a fundraiser aimed to benefit at-risk youth. His appearance was deemed inappropriate for the crowd by event organizers who thought his particpiation would send the wrong message to teenagers who were set to attend the event.
