DWTS Season 17: Week 9 Results Sees Elimination for Elizabeth Berkley (Spoilers)
"Dancing with the Stars" is rapidly narrowing down its list of celebrity contestants, and this week saw one more couple eliminated during Monday's Trio night.
Instead of dancing in pairs, the six remaining couples on "DWTS" danced in trios for this week's episode.
Despite high-energy dances amongst this season's popular cast, Monday saw yet another shocking elimination on the reality dance series, with Elizabeth Berkley bidding farewell at the end of the episode.
While "Glee" star Amber Riley and her professional dance partner Derek Hough have been fan favorites all season, the couple saw stiff competition in "Saved by the Bell" star Berkley and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, who were one of the season's highest-scoring couple.
Nevertheless, Berkley and her partner were voted off, shocking "DWTS" viewers across the nation.
"WHAT?! How are they sending Elizabeth and Val home right now," Talya posted to Twitter. "She just got a perfect score."
Meanwhile, trio dances included Amber dancing with Derek and "DWTS" professional dancer Mark Ballas, while Elizabeth danced with Chmerkovisky and Gleb Savchenko.
Then, "King of Queen's" star Leah Remini danced alongside her partner, Tony Dovolani, and another "DWTS" pro, Henry Bykalikov.
Furthermore, Corbin Bleu and his "DWTS" professional partner Karina Smirnoff joined forces with pro dancer Whitney Carson.
Remaining contestants included Jack Osbourne who danced with his partner, Cheryl Burke, and "DWTS" pro Sharna Burgess, while comedian Bill Engvall and Emma Slater joined forces with Peta Murgatroyd during Trio night.
Both Osbourne and Engvall remained consistently low on the scoreboards each week this season on "DWTS."
Also during Monday's episode, reigning "DWTS" champion from last season, Kellie Pickler, returned to the ballroom.
"DWTS" airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.
So far, season 17 has seen the elimination of stars that include Christina Milian, Valerie Harper, Bill Nye "the Science Guy," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Brant Daugherty.
"DWTS" judges include Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli, while Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet serve as the show's hosts.
