Talented choirs from across the nation performed for the 8,000 participants to the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s 216th General Assembly, during the Ecumenical Worship Service on Wednesday, June 30, 2004. The Assembly will last through July 3, at which the attendees will vote for a new stated clerk to lead the 2.4 million-member denomination.
