Eden Wood of 'Toddlers & Tiaras' Gets New Show

Controversial child television star Eden Wood has just landed her own reality TV series which will air on the Logo network.

"Eden's World" will follow Eden and her mom each week as they coach child beauty queens and their mothers while they compete at various beauty pageants around the country. The series will also document Eden and her pursuit of a career as an entertainer in New York City.

"Eden and her mom will artfully take on overbearing stage moms, terrified tots and unending egos as they mold the pageant superstars of tomorrow by offering up tips and tricks from the best in the business," according to the press release.

Wood shot to international fame by the age of six on the child pageant circuit. Her talents were highlighted in the TLC series "Toddlers & Tiaras," and she is looking to take her career to the next level in New York City.

On the show, Wood will be accompanied by her mom, her talent manager and a brand new publicist from New York City, but this aspect of American society has also drawn controversy.

Last year, Wood was modeling for children's footwear brand Cicciabella wearing hotpants and a crop top, while being filmed dancing inappropriately at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

The Parents Television Council released a statement in response to those actions.

"We have a serious problem when a network formerly known as The Learning Channel features a toddler, who probably hasn't even learned to read, dressed as a prostitute showing off her sexy strut."

"For years we've seen adult sexuality being inappropriately and aggressively foisted on innocent young children, but children today are being sexualized at younger and younger ages. All available data suggests they will suffer for it later in life," according to the statement

Eden's World premieres Monday, April 16 at 10PM ET/PT on Logo.
