Top 6 moments from Erika Kirk's CBS interview with Bari Weiss: 'Let the Lord use it'
3. Utah Valley University student attacks Trump
Utah Valley University student Hunter Kozak, whose question about gun violence Kirk was responding to when he was shot, pressed Erika Kirk to condemn President Donald Trump.
"Will you condemn the violent rhetoric of Donald Trump, the most powerful and influential person on Earth?" asked Kozak, a self-described liberal who runs a political TikTok account. He said in his question that Trump recently accused six Democratic lawmakers of seditious behavior punishable by death and called for them to be hanged.
The last person who ever spoke to Charlie Kirk was a Utah Valley student named Hunter Kozak. This week, he traveled to the CBS News town hall in New York City to ask Erika Kirk a question.

Kirk, who said she appreciated the question, deflected from Trump by noting that the issue is "so much deeper than one person," while urging parents to "look in the mirror" and be careful about how they are raising their children.
"You can choose to have evil in your heart or you can choose to have light," she said. "What you consume and what you absorb from the outside world will manifest itself."
When asked by Weiss if political leaders have a responsibility to "turn down the temperature," Kirk said, "Well, I think everyone has a responsibility to do that, and I'm doing my part. I'm not in control of other people."
Weiss and CBS News were met with backlash on social media for what some described as an attempt to use Kirk's death to attack Trump and press his widow to denounce the president, who was a personal friend of Charlie.
"Absolutely reprehensible that Bari Weiss orchestrated this little Jerry Springer-style ambush against Erika Kirk," said The Federalist CEO Sean Davis.
