Four-Night Hawaii Harvest Sees 1,161 Decisions For Christ

Sunday, June 27 marked the final day of the 2004 Harvest Hawaii Crusade, but marked a new beginning for thousands as the four-night event drew 21,700 attendants and saw 1,161 decisions for Christ. After hosting a capacity crowd at a one-night even in Honolulu last summer, Harvest with Greg Laurie made its return to the Hawaiian Islands Thursday, June 24, holding the extended Harvest Hawaii crusade at the Waikiki Shell.

The last two days of Hawaii Harvest featured the first-ever Hawaii Summerfest for youth in addition to the four-night crusade. Unlike traditional crusade events, Summerfest featured Extreme Sports including BMX and Vert Skate, a SportsZone and KidsZone.

Nightly events featured musical performances including those of The Katinas, Kutless, Crystal Lewis, and local Christian bands, along with evangelistic messages by Greg Laurie, who founded the Harvest Crusade events in 1990 and also serves as a senior pastor of the eighth largest church in the US.
