Since the beginning, God has woven the beauty of giving into the very fabric of creation.
Every sunset, every mountain, ocean, and river, every corner of creation declares the beauty of God's generosity. From the color of our eyes to our Myers-Briggs personality type, every aspect of our being sings of God's generosity. Every family member, relative, and friend-those who love us unconditionally-is a living, breathing expression of God's generosity toward us. And God's desire for reconciliation despite a world of brokenness proclaims God's immeasurable generosity toward all.
God is a giver, and his generosity is beautiful.
In the Bible, the metaphors used to describe God reveal him as one who gives constantly, again and again: "the spring of living water" (Jeremiah 2:13), "the vine" that sustains the branches (John 15), "living bread" (John 6:51), and the living Word (John 1:14).
