'Grimm' Season 4 News: Silas Weir Mitchell Talks About Monroe and Rosalee's Future, Nov. 14 Episode Plot

The season 3 finale of "Grimm" sees the wedding of Monroe and Rosalee. Despite a lot of disapproval due to their intermarriage— Monroe is a Blutbad and Rosalee is a Fuschbau— they go through with it, while being entirely aware of the consequences that they are about to face.

"We had it too easy for too long," said Silas Weir Mitchell to TVLine. "The long and short of it is that [intermarriage] is very much frowned upon in certain quarters of the series' supernatural community."

Not only does the pair have to worry about intolerant and angry Wesen issuing death threats all because they married outside their species, but they also happen to have a Grimm for a best friend. It's sure to be interesting to watch the two this season as they deal with these problems while planning their future.

When asked if Monroe and Rosalee expected this backlash from the Wesen community, Mitchell said they do.

"Yeah …The show is interesting in that it reflects our world in a very real way. When you're dealing with an issue and you can use a slightly mythical brush with which to paint the story, you can hit notes that you can't necessarily hit if you're doing a show that is utterly placed in the world we live in on a daily basis," he said.

With all that they have to deal with, Monroe and Rosalee could certainly be very preoccupied to even think about things such as going on a honeymoon or starting a family.

Meanwhile, here is the synopsis for the Nov. 14 episode of "Grimm" titled "Dyin' on a Prayer."

"Nick and Hank investigate a case involving clay-induced asphyxiation; Wu's suspicion about Trubel intensify; Elizabeth makes a major breakthrough in the pursuit of restoring Nick's powers; Monroe and Rosalee's inter-Wesen marriage sparks a cultural backlash; and Adalind hopes her mysterious visitor will help her escape the dungeon," the summary reads.

"Grimm" airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
