Hank Williams Jr Fires Back at ESPN and 'Monday Night Football'

Hank Williams Jr. is firing back at "Fox & Friends" and ESPN after releasing him from their "Monday Night Football" opening theme song "Are You Ready for Some Football?" by releasing "I'll Keep My..."

He will be taking his story to popular morning talk show "The View" and news talk show "Hannity" on Tuesday.

ESPN pulled William's intro Monday night after he made disparaging comments about President Obama comparing the president and House Speaker Rep. John Boehner golfing together to Adolph Hitler and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharing a green.

Williams wrote the third verse of his new song the Friday morning after the official announcement to drop him was on Thursday, according to AP.

He plans to release the track on iTunes either Monday or Tuesday.

Williams bashes the programs in the songs saying, "So Fox 'n Friends wanna put me down/Ask for my opinion/Twist it all around, well two can play that gotcha game you'll see."

Other jabs in the song include, "[the United States] going down the drain," and becoming "The United Socialist States of America."

Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar of "The View" and Jon Stewart, host of "The Daily Show" are among his supporters agreeing that Williams was using his freedom of speech. In opposition are Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh.

Williams now sells "Hank Jr. for President" T-shirts on his website.

"Monday Night Football" had been using Williams' theme since 1989, and he altered the song to fit the matchup each week.

The new sports opening theme song will feature Barry Sanders and singer Jimmy Scott prior to the Monday night game.

Fox says the introduction will change every week.
