HeavenUp: Brand New Christian Social Media Site Launched

Uniting Christian worshipers worldwide, HeavenUp.com has officially launched Tuesday as the newest social networking site.

Founder and CEO Chris Burkhart began forming the site five years ago as a God-given vision to bring Christians together.

The Christian Post asked Burkhart what HeavenUp.com what exactly his vision would bring its users.

"My hope is that HeavenUp.com can be used as a resource to not only maintain and foster relationships with their local church and community but to grow spiritually and fellowship with people worldwide," said Burkhart.

The "virtual fellowship" site has already gained endorsement by the Dove Foundation after launching just days ago. Similar to sites such as Facebook, users are able to connect on the site as well as share information.

"Members are able to express their faith and experiences as well as connect and build relationships with friends, artists/bands, churches, pastors, youth pastors, authors, radio stations, TV stations, Christian groups, ministries and organizations," continued Burkhart. "Users can create profiles, share music, videos, photos, status updates, blogs, bulletins and all their resources. HeavenUp provides all of this in a safe environment for Christians and people seeking Christ."

In addition to the sense of community offered on the site, author, exercise psychologist and Christian Jimmy Pena contributes a Daily Devotional to HeavenUp, which users can gain insight and strength by reading.

The website provides a connection with like-minded people. Also, users can share videos, stream music, and shop at the HeavenUp store. Unlike other sites, HeavenUp provides a safe environment for Christian users, while also being a comfortable place for anyone pursuing a relationship with God.

Music labels and artists such as MercyMe, The Afters, Craig & Dean and more have offered their support for HeavenUp.
