In the aftermath of the violence in Amsterdam, Democratic Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., expressed support for the Jewish people in a Friday X post. The senator has made a point of showing support for the state of Israel following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks.

“I condemn this truly vile antisemitism in the strongest terms,” Fetterman stated about the violence that broke out after the soccer game. “It’s another traumatic reminder why we must stand with the Jewish community.”
