Iman Shumpert Leaks Orange Alternate Knicks Jerseys on Instagram

New York Knicks guard and forward Iman Shumpert appeared to have leaked a new orange Knicks alternate jersey to Instagram before quickly taking it down.

Wednesday night at around 8 p.m. ET, Shump uploaded the picture, which was taken in an Adidas shoot in Los Angeles before almost immediately deleting it.

The Knicks revamped their jerseys in the 2012-2013 season but failed to create a new regular alternate, Yahoo! reported. The home jersey is white and the away is blue, except for an all orange uniform they wore on Christmas as part of a campaign created by Adidas and the NBA to help promote the clothing company's Winter Court Collection. The new leaked one is orange with blue lettering.

A spokesperson from the Knicks said he could not confirm whether the jersey is something the basketball team will wear in the future reports Yahoo!

Having a new team uniform may be a good move for the Knicks because of Carmelo Anthony's popularity. He sold more jerseys last year than Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.

Yesterday the Knicks selected Tim Hardaway Jr. 24th overall in the 2013 NBA draft.

"#Knicks GM Glen Grunwald on Tim Hardaway Jr.: "We were impressed with his shooting, his athleticism and his overall demeanor," said ESPN's Ian Begley on Twitter, referring to the Knicks' general manager.

Hardaway is the son of former Knicks rival Tim Hardaway Sr.

Hardaway Jr. averages 14.5 points a game, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.

The Knicks blog reports the addition of the rookie could spell the end for guard J.R. Smith because of the high price he will be asking for as a free agent.

In other Knicks news, Anthony does not think he will need surgery on his wounded shoulder.

"[The] shoulder feels much better," he said at an event in Brooklyn on Thursday, reported the Knicks Blog.

"For the past 4-to-5 weeks, I've let it rest," Anthony said. "It's still not 100 percent yet."
