Apple’s brand new operating system expected to show up the competition. iOS will include the highly anticipated Assistant voice navigation feature which will allow users to speak into the phone to perform various tasks along with including the long awaited iMessage.

iMessage

This should have been included with iOS 5, but this feature deserves its own listing. For years Blackberry users have bragged about BBM, a free texting application that is exclusive to Blackberry owners. Well iPhone will finally debut its own free exclusive texting system with iMessage. iPhone users will inherit their own network and be able to communicate with other owners of the Apple's smartphone without dealing with text messaging fees.

Free iPhone 3GS

With the release of either the iPhone 4S, or the iPhone 5, analysts are expecting carriers to begin to offer the best selling iPhone 3GS for free with a contract.

White iPod Touch

Apple is expected to debut a white version of the iPod Touch. For consumers looking for a classier look on their iPod, this model might be just the one for them.

End of iPod Classic

The rumor is that the iPod Classic will be discontinued after the Apple event takes place. Some analysts say this is unlikely since suppliers are planning to ship the device after today, but for those who are anxious to move on technologically, this could be good news. The end of something great could be the beginning of something better.
