iPhone 5 Rumors: Leaked Protectors Reveal Screen Details (PHOTOS)

Images of a screen protector made for the iPhone 5 have leaked onto the internet alluding to the device having a larger screen and wider home button.

The screen protector was matched up against an iPhone 4, and the size of the device was slightly smaller than that of the accessory.

The protector also leaves room for an elongated home button rather than the circular one included on the current iPhone.

The pictures were displayed on Unwire.hk.

Macrumors reported that they had seen a number of cases supposedly made for the iPhone 5 in the past, but had never actually had an accessory which gave away details on the front of the new device.

However, the elongated home button was featured in a leaked design document.

Although the screen protector does leave space for a wider home button, it does not mean that is what the device will actually sport.

The site reminds those making conclusions from the accessories that most of them were designed based off of a common leaked design document.

No actual parts confirmed to be specifically for the iPhone 5 have leaked which match this design.

Most part leaks match up to a design similar to the iPhone 4.

According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 5 should look similar to the iPhone 4.

Analysts are predicting a more powerful version of the popular device which will include an 8 megapixel camera.

Based on leaked accessories, predictions were also made that Apple would give the iPhone a larger screen in order to compete with Android powered smartphones.

This new screen protector fits those plans, but no leak can be reliable enough to make a solid conclusion from.

The iPhone 5 is rumored to be released in early-mid October.
