6 Dove Nods Go to Jars of Clay, Skillet, Matt Maher and Jason Crabb

Christian music artists leading this year's list of Dove Award nominees so far are Jars of Clay, Skillet, Matt Maher, and Jason Crabb – each with six nods.

But it is producers Bernie Herms and Wayne Haun who have hand their hands in the most Dove-nominated projects this year, with a total of eight and seven, respectively.

On Thursday, the Gospel Music Association announced the nominees in all but two of the 43 categories for the 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards, which will be held on Wednesday, April 21, at Nashville's famed Grand Ole Opry House.

The three-hour event, gospel music's biggest night of the year, will feature artists from every style of gospel/Christian music coming together for a night of music and celebration.

The 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards will also be televised nationwide on Gospel Music Channel on Sunday, April 25.

Presented annually in Nashville, the Dove Awards are voted upon by members of the Gospel Music Association and are often described as Christian music's Grammys.
