Jenna Jameson Charged With DUI, Facing a Year in Prison

Jenna Jameson was officially charged with a DUI for slamming into a pole May 25. The former adult film actress crashed her car in a Los Angeles suburb and was discovered at the scene.

Jenna Jameson, 38, was charged with three separate misdemeanors for her reckless driving: one for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, another for having a blood alcohol level higher than .08, the legal limit- hers was .13, and final count for operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

After ramming her expensive Range Rover SUV into the pole, the 38-year-old could be heard saying "I just want to go home," according to OCWeekly.com.

While preliminary reports showed Jameson "displayed objective signs of intoxication" according to EOnline.com, authorities said she also had zolpidem (Ambien) and buprenorphine (suboxone) in her system- two prescription drugs that could have hindered her driving.

The 911 call of the incident was also released, which revealed that Jameson's erratic driving was most likely the result of her indulgence in alcohol.

"I was actually getting ready to call you guys because she was drunk," was heard on the call. "Next thing I know she went into the pole."
Although Jameson sustained "minor injuries" at the scene, according to the Associated Press, she refused any medical treatment.

If the former porn star is convicted of the charges, she could be sentenced with anything from probation up to a year in prison. Her arraignment will take place in Orange County Tuesday.

This isn't the first time Jameson has been in trouble because of drugs. In high school, it was alleged that she was addicted to rougher drugs than alcohol, like cocaine and methamphetamines. As recently as 2010, MMA fighter Tito Ortiz- with whom she has two children- accused her of being addicted to Oxycontin.

Jameson later passed a drug test. She and Ortiz also smoothed things over, saying their public differences were the results of a misunderstanding.
