Jodi Arias Threats Against Prosecutor Being Investigated

Jodi Arias' former cellmate is speaking out and revealing quite a bit about Arias' state of mind during the trial. Cassandra Collins claims that Arias wanted revenge against prosecutor Juan Martinez.

"She said that if she was given the death sentence, she wanted to get her revenge," Collins told Fox 10 News. "She knows inmates on the outs to do a mafia bow tie … yeah. Cut his throat. I really think she would try to hurt someone. She manipulates … tried to manipulate every inmate there … and tries to control how they think about her case. She'll try to suffocate you with her version and her side."

Collins spent time in prison with Arias before her famous trial. Prosecutor Juan Martinez managed to convince a jury that Arias had murdered her boyfriend, Travis Alexander and secure a guilty verdict. However, the jury was undecided when it came to the penalty, and Arias will essentially be back on trial to learn her fate. The new jury will decide between life in prison or the death penalty.

Collins noted that Arias had a strange fixation with Martinez.

"She asked me questions like why doesn't Juan Martinez love me? And I'm like, love you? He's your prosecutor … he's there to prosecute you for a crime … and I'm like why doesn't he love you? She was serious," Collins said. "Why doesn't Juan Martinez love me? She's out of her freakin' mind."

She also recommended that Martinez take Arias' threat seriously and protect himself for the upcoming trial.

"He need[s] to get good security staff around him to make sure she can't get anybody on the outs to solicit something … to harm him or to hurt him. She's very dangerous … very dangerous."

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office is reportedly looking into Collins' claims, but Arias has remained silent about the allegations. Her lawyers are also investigating but had no comment for Fox News.
