Justin Bieber & Mariah Carey to Premiere “All I Want For Christmas”

Justin Bieber has announced that he and Mariah Carey’s new music video will premiere during the broadcast of the iconic Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center Wednesday.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is a collaboration track by the two singers on Bieber’s new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe. The brand new music video was filmed three weeks ago in Macy’s and has been long anticipated by fans.

“BIG NEWS!” Bieber posted on his Twitter account Saturday. “Me and @MariahCarey will debut “All I Want For Christmas Is You” Video WORLDWIDE on the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting. #4days.”

Previously speaking to MTV News, Bieber explained the collaboration with Carey on the Christmas tune.

“Mariah Carey is doing it with me! It’s incredible. So excited. We wanted Mariah from the beginning, but we kind of thought it was really hard, so we didn’t really push the idea,” said Bieber.

Continuing, the 17-year-old singer said of Carey: “But she’s on my label, so we reached out to some people, she got in contact with us, and [producer] Randy Jackson was actually at the studio with us, and I was like, ‘Yo, you think you can help get Mariah on the Christmas album?’ And he was like, ‘I’m actually going to see her in New York on Monday,’ and I was like ‘Yo, go do that!’”

Bieber’s Under the Mistletoe also includes tracks “Home This Christmas” with The Band Perry, “The Christmas Song” featuring Usher, and “Little Drummer Boy” with Busta Rhymes, as well as a few other holiday classics.

The singer will be in New York City Wednesday to perform during the Christmas tree lighting alongside many other artists such as Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, and Faith Hill.

Live performers will also include Cee Lo Green, Carole King, Katharine McPhee from “Smash,” and the winner of “The Voice,” Javier Colon. Also in attendance will be the famous Radio City Rockettes to dance while classic and modern day holiday songs are performed.

The event will display a Norway Spruce measuring 74 feet in height and 46 feet in diameter, weighing 10 tons. The holiday event is a 78-year-old tradition that started in 1933 when the first tree was lit outside of the RCA Building, now the GE Building.

Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie will host the Christmas Tree Lighting television special, which will air on NBC Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST.
