Justin Bieber Paternity Test Results to Be Revealed Ahead of Christmas Tree Lighting Event in NYC?

Pop Star Still Dealing With Paternity Claims From Mariah Yeater

NBC has announced that Justin Bieber is on the bill for the network's annual Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center in New York City, and the event could occur after the pop star completes a DNA test to determine if he is the father of Mariah Yeater's child.

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., Bieber and a handful of other pop stars will perform a blend of traditional and classic holiday songs at the event that commemorates the lighting of the legendary Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

Other Christmas tree lighting performers are Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, Cee Lo Gree, Faith Hill, Katharine McPhee, Javier Colon and Carole King, and the Radio City Rockettes.

This year, the program showcases a Norway spruce tree measuring 74 feet in height, 46 feet in diameter. It weighs 10 tons. The tree lighting ceremony was started in 1933 when the first tree was lit up in front of the RCA Building, which is now the GE building. In 1936, the outdoor ice skating rink in the Rockefeller Center updated the event. NBC was the first network to broadcast the tree lighting.

The big program is preceded by a one-hour show, which will feature performances by Megan Hilty, McPhee’s Smash co-star. The pre-show is from 7p.m. to 8 p.m. WNBC and other NBC affiliates will broadcast it.

Brad Lachman Productions is producing the Christmas in Rockefeller Center. The executive producer is Bill Bracken. Al Rocker and Savannah Guthrie are to serve as co-hosts of the program.

The show features a mix of live and taped acts. Last year’s performers at Christmas in Rockefeller Center included Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson and Susan Boyle.

Justin Bieber has a Christmas album called "Under the Mistletoe." The album is described on Amazon as a mix of traditional Christmas standards and newly penned holiday music largely co-written by Bieber. Songs include "Silent Night," "Santa Claus is Coming To Town," "Drummer Boy," and “Christmas Eve."

Meanwhile, Bieber is still engulfed in a paternity lawsuit filed by Yeater, a 20-year-old woman who claims the pop star is the father of her 4-month-old child.

The singer has agreed to take a DNA test to prove that he is not the father of Yeater's child, according to the New York Post.

The paper reports that a source claims Bieber's "lawyers are making arrangements for him to take the test, which will be done in accordance with all legal requirements. I cannot say where or when the test will take place, but it will prove that Yeater's claim is completely false."
