Justin Bieber Possible Victim of Statutory Rape, LA Police May Press Charges

Mariah Yeater could face jail time if her Justin Bieber allegations prove true due to potential statutory rape charges.

The timeline of her story would place Bieber at 16-years-old while Yeater would have been 19.

When the story first broke, various outlets said Yeater facing charges was highly unlikely. However, much suspicion is growing as to the validity of the story, Los Angeles law enforcement stated it would possibly look into pressing charges.

California law forbids sex with anyone under the age of 18, and if the age gap is no more than three years charges are classified as a misdemeanor with up to one year in jail.

"The issue of statutory rape, even if she's guilty, hypothetically, that has no bearing on the duties to provide child support," said Matthew Pare, one of Yeater's lawyers. "It's a totally separate issue."

Child support is initially what brought the 20-year-old to make allegations against the pop singer.

Yeater, the accuser, said she met Bieber after a security guard asked her if she wanted to see the pop star, and then the guard escorted her back to meet the teen heartthrob – leading to alleged sexual relations between the two.

Sources told TMZ Bieber is adamant he never had any sort of relations with Yeater. Sources also told TMZ, Bieber thinks he never met her.

The young star said the story "is completely made up," and took to his Twitter to express his feelings on the matter.

"Im going to ignore the rumors...and focus on what is real. an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!," tweeted Bieber.

Yeater claimed upon meeting Bieber, they were immediately mutually attracted.

"And we began to kiss,” said Yeater in a handwritten complaint.

“Shortly thereafter, Justin Bieber suggested that I go with him to a private place where we could be alone. I agreed to go with him and on the walk to a private area, he told me he wanted to make love to me and this was going to be his first time,” Yeater added.

A representative for Bieber told TMZ: "While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations."
The alleged "private area" was a bathroom.

“We went inside and immediately his personality changed drastically,” Yeater claimed.

She then said, Bieber began to touch her and said he wanted to engage in sexual activity. When Yeater asked Bieber to use protection, he insisted otherwise because "it was his first time and he wanted to feel everything."

Yeater said the whole affair happened in less than a minute. She now has a 3-month-old boy.
