Justin Bieber’s 'Under the Mistletoe' Tops Charts Despite Paternity Claims

Justin Bieber’s new Christmas album Under the Mistletoe has reached the number one spot on Billboard’s top 200 list despite the paternity rumors.

The 17-year-old singer has been in a paternity suit filed by Mariah Yeater who claims he propositioned her after a concert in Los Angeles on Oct. 25, 2010. The allegations arose as Bieber was promoting the release of his new Christmas album last week and continues to dominate headlines.

Regardless of Yeater’s allegations, Bieber took to Twitter in celebration of Under the Mistletoe reaching the number one chart spot.

Acknowledging the paternity allegations, Bieber wrote Tuesday: “So this past week and even today every rumor and lie about me possible had been coming out of the press. Just need to ignore it… but… even through all the crap and lies… my fans have been there for me… and I just got word… it is OFFICIAL!! That… #UnderTheMistletoe is the #1 Album on the BILLBOARD 200 this week!!!”

“WE ARE the #1 ALBUM!! So to the people making up this BS…” Bieber continued, and added abnormal profanity: “Santa Claus is comin to town b*tches!”

The star finally finished the Twitter rampage saying, “#ILOVEMY FANS!! Thank u.”

Bieber provided a link to the animated version of the “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” video. Watch it here.

Bieber and his legal team have agreed to submit to a DNA test in order to prove that the singer is not the father of Yeater’s son. Recent reports indicated that upon the test’s results – which Bieber’s team is confident will be negative – his lawyers will take legal action against Yeater’s false claims.

“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate, malicious, defamatory AND demonstrably false claims,” said Bieber’s representative speaking to US Weekly.

Adding, “We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”
