Kailyn Lowry Confirms Engagement, Debuts Ring (PHOTO)

The new season of "Teen Mom 2" will premiere in December, and one thing fans are hoping to see is the relationship between Kailyn Lowry and her boyfriend-now-fiancée Javi Marroguin. Lowry took to Twitter to confirm her engagement to Marroguin.

"It's true, we're engaged!" she tweeted, along with a picture of her new diamond ring. According to reports, the couple has been together for a little over one year. It took some convincing, though, for Lowry to agree to even date Marroguin.

"He wouldn't give up until she went out with him," a friend told OK! Magazine. "But at first she thought he was really young, like 15, and crazy to be asking her out, but he's 19!"

Once the two finally started dating, Marroquin won her heart and has taken to Isaac, which is good, considering the impact a significant other can have on a young child. Lowry's previous relationship didn't work out after she cheated on him with Isaac's father, Jo Rivera.

"Javi has a great heart," a friend added. "He's kind and thoughtful and is also very patient with Kailyn and Isaac. His patience is one of the many traits that she really loves about him. Javi and Isaac adore each other. They get along great, and Kailyn knows he will be a great stepdad to her son and never treat him as anything but his own."

It's certainly a fresh start for Lowry, and fans could not be happier. Lowry's Twitter page is filled with well wishes and congrats as she embarks on this new journey.

"I love my fiancé @KailLowry! Couldn't even dream about the way my life is turning out to be!" tweeted her significant other, Marroguin.

"No concrete wedding plans yet, but hopefully in the near future," Lowry added.
