Katy Perry Grammy Attack on Russell Brand

'You Can Keep Everything … Except for Me,' Sang Perry

Katy Perry made her appearance on the Grammy red carpet in a baby blue gown that matched her blue hues and grabbed plenty of attention. What might have garnered even more attention, however, is what some believe is a hidden message in the new song she performed at the Grammy Awards.

Katy Perry hit the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy Awards adorned in a sky blue backless appliqué Elie Saab dress. She paired the dress with her bright blue hair stacked high on her head. Although the look may sound exotic, the singer fared well in the best dressed category on many fashion review sites.

Although her blue hues may have drawn a lot of attention, her Grammy performance has gotten even more. The singer took the stage to sing her new song "Part of Me."

Perry split with husband Russell Brand at the end of last year, causing a slew of rumors. Some said that Brand had a wandering eye. A video even revealed Brand removing his wedding ring to go on a college tour, long before the divorce had been announced.

Despite rumors, though, the divorce appeared to go over amicably. It didn't appear that Perry might have any hard feelings until last night.

Some of the lyrics in her song seemed to hit a little too close to home, prompting people to suggest that she was sending a message to Brand.

"Now look at me, I'm sparking, a firework, a dancing flame. You won't ever put me out again. You chewed me up and spit me out. Like I was poison in your mouth," Perry sang on the Grammy stage.

"You took my light, you drained me down. You ripped me off, your love was cheap. Keep your diamond ring. In fact, you can keep everything ... Except for me."

Last week TMZ reported a friendly split, after the divorce papers had been signed. "This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch," a source told TMZ. "He doesn't want Katy's money. He's happy to walk away with the money he earned -- which is far less than what Katy raked in."
