Young Earth Creationist Ken Ham has announced that the Ark Encounter project, the life-sized replica of Noah's Ark, is only one month away from its official launch on July 7 in Williamstown, Kentucky.

"I'm thrilled to announce that one month today the most authentic re-creation of Noah's Ark in the world opens to public at the Ark Encounter, and it will be a great reminder of God's Word and the Gospel," Ham wrote on Facebook Wednesday.

"So get ready to get on a shuttle bus beginning July 7 to take beautiful mile long ride to see the Ark at the Ark Encounter."

The creationist, who is also the CEO and president of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum, has been posting a series of photos and videos providing sneak peaks of the Ark, including footage of work being done inside the giant structure, with the placement of animals inside.

A separate video provides insight into how the visitors inside the Ark will line up, and what part of the tour will look like, with exhibits highlighting the story of Noah as found in the Bible.

The updated Ark Encounter website promises that the project is "built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel will amaze visitors young and old."

It adds: "From the moment you turn the corner and the towering Ark comes into view, to the friendly animals in the zoo, to the jaw-dropping exhibits inside the Ark, you'll experience the pages of the Bible like never before."

Ham has explained that the Ark Encounter will be a means through which to show people the Good News of the Bible, and said that even though there will never be another global Flood, as retold in Genesis, another kind of Ark is needed to show people the way.

"More than ever, people need to discover the truth of God's Word beginning in Genesis and the saving Gospel of the New Testament. That is especially true today for teens and millennials (including those inside the Church)," the creationist wrote in a blog post in February.

"Our culture needs to take a voyage of discovery and discover that: God's Word concerning the history of the universe and all life is true. God's Word concerning man's sinful state and his need of salvation in Christ is true," he added.

He further called Noah's Ark "the greatest reminder of the soul-saving Gospel," other than the Cross, and said that the Ark Encounter will be "one of the greatest Christian outreaches of this era."

Ham outlined that visitors to the Ark Encounter will be able to "experience the most authentic reconstruction of Noah's Ark" ever built, and will be taught "the truth of God's Word, beginning with its history in Genesis."
