Kendall Jenner Steps Out of Kardashian Shadow

Kendall Jenner, 15-year-old sister of Kim Kardashian who also appears on the family’s reality show, is building her own brand.

Jenner, who first appeared on the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians’’ reality show in 2007, took over Ryan Seacrest’s red carpet hosting duties on Aug. 6 at the “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie” Los Angeles premiere. Along with younger sister Kylie, Jenner received praise from Seacrest for her ability to interview the film’s stars Darren Criss, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Heather Morris.

"Good job at Glee ladies,” Seacrest tweeted on Tuesday: “Thanks, you guys were hilarious."

Khloe Kardashian, Jenner’s older sister, expressed pride for her younger sibling’s hosting ability.

"Wow! My baby sisters aren't babies anymore (crying)," Khloe tweeted on Sunday.

This is not the first time the younger sibling instilled pride in her sisters. Kim recently shared news of a new modeling job acquired by Jenner on her website.

"Kendall is the new face of Australian swimwear designer Leah Madden's Summer 2012 campaign Pirouette!!,"' Kim wrote in an Aug. 1 post for her website. "How stunning does she look!?!? I couldn't be more proud!"

Aside from her new Leah Madden contract, Kenner recently appeared in a campaign for Forever 21 and posed for clothing brands Luca Couture and Marc Clark. The 15-year-old has also appeared in publications such as American Cheerleader and Teen Vogue.

In her Teen Vogue appearance, Jenner said she listens to career advice from her sisters who have built their brands through fashion and television ventures.

“They always tell us, ‘Your friends and family know you better than the Internet does’,” Jenner told Teen Vogue.

Although the reality star told the magazine that she enjoys television, Jenner admitted she had a soft spot for modeling.

"I love everything about it," she told the magazine. "Although my favorite part would have to be wearing cool clothes and getting my hair and makeup all done."

The young reality star is no stranger to the industry and signed a contract with Wilhelmina Models in 2010.
