Kim Kardashian Divorce: Holly Robinson Peete Defends Kardashian Brand

Hollywood actress Holly Robinson Peete weighed in on Kim Kardashian's divorce to Kris Humphries saying the reality TV star's empire will not be affected by the bad publicity.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter Peete said, "This is all about money, and fame, and all those things. This is her brand. I think it's going to be totally fine. It's now who's she going to date next."

Kardashian who recently divorced her NBA star husband of 72 days Kris Humphries, received widespread media backlash after critics implied she married for money and not love.

It has been reported that the 31-year-old made $18 million after selling her wedding pictures and filming rights, leaving many like Peete questioning her intent.

While skeptics fear the Kardashian's will lose their fan base which may hurt their empire the former CBS talk show host believes the brand will be fine although she feels "terrible" for Humphries who she suggests was used by Kim.

Peete is said to have spoken with some basketball players during Halloween and many she says are sympathetic for Humphries.

“That’s all those guys can talk about and the gist of it was they just felt so sorry for him, because they know he just got so caught up in stuff. And I just feel bad that no one’s talking about him, I really do."

Kardashian recently returned home from a counseling session in Minnesota involving her estranged husband and their pastor. However, there has been no confirmation on the prospect of reconciliation.

When asked about how Kim was dealing with her broken marriage her mother and manager Kris Jenner implied she was still struggling as she told Extra, "She needs to do what she's doing now and cry and figure it out."
