Kim Kardashian Flour Attack a PR Stunt for Sympathy? (VIDEO)

Kim Kardashian will not press charges after being subject to a humiliating attack with cooking flour while recently on the red carpet, and critics have begun speculating whether the entire incident was staged to help the disgraced reality TV personality gain sympathy.

"I'm fine. You have to laugh it off! I brushed off and came right back out," Kardashian told E! News.

Kardashian arrived at the London Hotel in West Hollywood for the launch of her "True Reflection" fragrance on Thursday night, and while posing before cameras was flour bombed by an unidentified woman.

"This is for the animals you fur head!" the woman screamed before lunging at Kardashian, 31, with a bag of flour.

After a failed attempt to flee the scene, the woman, whose identity is being withheld by police, was detained and eventually released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after they were called by hotel security, according to MSN.

Kardashian was quickly ushered from the red carpet by security staff and simply wiped the flour from her clothing and hair before having it examined for safety reasons by the fire department, and was then able to happily return to her perfume launch.

"This was a Dress for Success charity event so I wanted to come back for all of the women involved," Kardashian told Us Weekly magazine.

"But I'm okay! That was insane! I laughed it off and came right back! I took 10 minutes to dust it off and came back to do interviews. When I came back, I just said I asked my makeup artist to bring me powder -- and that I didn't think he would bring that much!" she added.

While some fans suspect that the woman may be affiliated with animal rights group Peta, others believe the incident was a PR stunt to help Kardashian gain sympathy amid months of media backlash following her divorce from Kris Humphries after just 72-days of marriage.

Wary fans took to Twitter to weigh in on the matter after the incident made headlines around the world.

"I'm positive that Kim Kardashian's flour bomb was a publicity stunt to promote her new fragrance," Shannon Walsh tweeted.

"Watching YouTube for an hour w/ Danny, but then I watch Kim Kardashian getting flour bombed & that was HILARIOUS. Even for a PR stunt!" Alexandria Gonzalez ‏tweeted.

"Just saw photos of some woman tipping cooking flour all over Kim Kardashian when she was doing a red carpet stunt... Childish much?" Hanna Bellé tweeted.
