Kim Kardashian Sent Kate Middleton Pregnancy Gift Over Shared Due Date
Kim Kardashian reportedly sent Kate Middleton a gift in an attempt to bond with the Duchess over their pregnancies.
The reality TV star, 31, reportedly sent a "warm note" along with a gift to Middleton after she discovered they are both due to give birth around the same time. Kardashian has made prior attempts to befriend the Duchess of Cambridge, 31.
"When Kim found out the pair had similar due dates, she got incredibly excited," a source told the Daily Mirror.
"She had her PA write a kind, warm note to Kate, enclosing a gift for the future heir to the throne and explaining they were both due in July," the source continued.
Kardashian confirmed that she is expecting a child with rapper Kanye West, 35, back in January while Middleton, 31, and Prince William confirmed their pregnancy news one month prior. Middleton has not publicly responded to the gift reports.
In November Kardashian, who has been accused by critics of copying Middleton's fashion style, expressed her desire to meet the Duchess. The reality TV star was in the U.K. promoting the Kardashian Kollection clothing line and was eager to set up a lunch date with Middleton despite the trip being strictly business.
"We'd love to [see Kate Middleton], are you kidding?" Kardashian told Life & Style magazine about Middleton whilst referring to her sisters Khloe and Kourtney. "We all love her! I'd call her up and ask her to lunch. She's amazing."
It is unclear whether the pair has ever met, but previous reports claim Kardashian, whose image has become more wholesome in recent months, is heavily influenced by Middleton. When West began dating Kardashian in 2012 the rapper reportedly asked the E! reality star to adopt a more natural look like Middleton's, which sparked concern among fans that she may be copying the Duchess' image.
"Kate Middleton has influenced [Kim's] look while in London. Kate's amazing. We watched her wedding and we thought it was beautiful. Kim's style icon is Sophia Loren," Kardashian's makeup artist Rob Scheppy told the Daily Star.
"Kanye does like to get involved with Kim's look. He actually has a lot of input, he has amazing style so we take his opinions to heart and I say: 'OK, I'll try it,'" he added.
