Kim Kardashian Talks Kanye West Summer Wedding; Is Dress Inspired By Kate Middleton?

Kim Kardashian recently opened up about her upcoming wedding to Kanye West and she confirmed that their nuptials will likely take place in Paris this Summer.

The Hollywood couple were in France scouting potential wedding venues in recent days and they stopped for a brief tour of the Palace of Versailles. Reports claimed French officials denied a request for Kardashian, 33, and West, 36, to wed at the iconic landmark palace, which is located just outside of Paris in the village of Versailles, however the reality star insisted this is not true.

"Of course everyone thought we were picking that as our wedding place... No. We were just taking a tour," Kardashian told late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday.

"We will be getting married this summer, hopefully in Paris," she continued. "... It's like our second home. We spend so much time there, we have an apartment there."

West proposed to the E! star in October after more than one year of dating and the over the top proposal is set to be featured on an upcoming episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

Kardashian, who gave birth to their first child North West in June, revealed that she plans to take the rapper's last name after their big day.

"Yes," Kardashian said when asked whether she would take West's last name adding that she will likely go by Kim Kardashian West.

Kardashian will reportedly design her wedding dress similar to Kate Middleton's royal wedding gown, as she is a big fan of the Duchess. Middleton, 31, made waves in 2011 with her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown worn during her royal wedding to Prince William.

"Kim is absolutely obsessed with everything Kate and William do. She considers her own family 'American Royalty,'" a source told Grazia magazine.

"Kim loves Kate's style and while she is planning on several gowns for her big day, she wants the one for the ceremony to look something like Kate's dress," the insider revealed. "The brief is demure princess and she'll also wear a tiara."
