Kim Kardashian has publicly thanked her fans for their support after the reality television star announced her divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage.

The gratitude was written on the socialite's blog.

"I just wanted to thank you guys for all your support these last two weeks," Kardashian wrote.

Kardashian was criticized by many for allegations her marriage to Humphries was a publicity stunt. She reportedly made nearly $20 million on the televised event.

Kardashian and her family have steadfastly denied the claims, saying the star married for love.

"First of all Kim didn't make millions off her wedding," Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner said. "She made less than $1 million from selling pictures and the wedding special was part of her show deal with E!. She will not be selling a divorce interview and plans to continue to donate to charities."

Petitions to remove Kardashian’s show have circulated online. Twitter reaction has also been sharply critical of the 31-year-old's short marriage and subsequent divorce.

"A 72 day wedding? I've faked being interested for that long!" TonyLoko_NLA wrote on Twitter.

"If you made a mistake by rushing in, you owe it to yourself not to rush out," ManEaterMpls tweeted Sunday.

But Kardashian's loyal followers, dubbed "blog dolls," have sent messages and blog comments to the star showing support.

"I've been reading all your comments on here and, as always, my loyal blog dolls have been nothing but supportive," Kardashian wrote. "You all know who you are, so thank you! I love you guys."

The post marks Kardashian’s return to blogging after nearly a two-week hiatus.

The star stepped out of the spotlight to take a break from public life and recover from the divorce, according to reports.

"I took a break from blogging for a while, but I've missed you guys so much and I want to start sharing my updates with you all again," Kardashian wrote.

It is unclear how the divorce will affect Kardashian's image with the general public.
