The whole dispute started when Taron Egerton was signed on to shoot "Robin Hood: Origins" in February. At this juncture, Matthew Vaughn who is writing and directing the sequel to the hit, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" "exercised his option" for Egerton's role in The Secret Service sequel.

Now, shooting for "Kingsman 2" will start in spring 2016 while shooting for "Robin Hood" will start once shooting for "Kingsman 2' finishes.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" was a 2015 action-adventure spy thriller that was based on the comic characters created by Mark Millar. The films content was laced with adult humour and had graphically violent sequences. Eggsy enters the spy agency as a green horn and is guided by his father's friend, Harry Hart, who nudges him to become a super spy. Soon Eggsy's skills are put to test when he has to save the world from a nefarious conspiracy hatched by Richmond Valentine.

We do not yet know the plot line for "Kingsman 2" but Vaughn and long-time screenwriting partner Jane Goldman are still working on the script.

The creator of the characters in the "Kingsman" comics, Mark Millar, told Nerdist that he didn't write a sequel hence "Kingsman 2" will be completely original. He also hinted that an American spy could be joining the spy agency. He said, "Well, an American agent is one of the ideas Matthew and Jane have been batting around. I think the idea would be trying to make it go global since it was kind of British, the first one. To see spies in other countries is just one of the many ideas we've been talking about."

Knowing the huge budgets of Hollywood actors, Millar then joked, "If we can find a big American actor cheap enough, then we'll do it."
