Kris Jenner Talks How Her Religion Helped Her Get Past Kim Kardashian's Adult Tape

Kris Jenner, the matriarch for the famed Kardashian reality television family, recently revealed that her Christian faith prompted an emotional reaction when she learned about her daughter Kim's previous explicit adult video that seemed to propel her to fame.

"I'm somewhat of a, you know, religious person, and I keep that to myself. So, I live a certain way and I feel a certain way, and I pray for my kids every day, and I'm so in love with my family life," Jenner,58, told host Joan Rivers on the web show "In Bed With Joan" recently. "And that hits me up the side of the head, and I literally fell apart. I had to go in a room and cry for a couple days and say okay, pull yourself (together), because you have to be here for all these kids and your family and you have to show them as an example how to get through this."

In an interview with Josh Skinner in 2011, the Kardashian Matriarch confirmed the family's Christian faith was passed down to Kim and her sisters.

"Even a family as crazy as ours can have a great relationship with God," Jenner said.

Kardashian has been vocal about her Christianity previously, telling media maven Oprah Winfrey that she is serious about her faith.

"I hardly drink, I go to church on Sundays," Kardashian told Winfrey on "Oprah's Next Chapter" last year. "I'm so far removed from my image."

Still, some have questioned whether or not Kardashian has been genuine in her church attendance. Internet radio host Chris Rosebrough of the show "Fighting for the Faith" devoted a segment to her last year titled, "Kim Kardashian's designer spirituality, is it biblical Christianity?"

"There's a lot of designer spirituality out there that parades as Christianity when it isn't," he said during the show. "Christianity is not the kind of thing that you smorgasbord together for the things you want to craft for your own Beverly Hills style spirituality."

While many remember the reality television star for coming into the spotlight after being featured in a pornographic tape, the reality television star has indeed been pictured attending services at Life Change Community Church in Agoura Hills, Calif. on numerous occasions. She has even spoken about starting her own Bible Study.

"On [my] way to church with the girls," Kardashian last January. "I want to start a bible study group with my friends."

While Kardashian's mother has over three million Twitter followers, she has made sure to include "LOVER OF CHRIST," in her profile description on the social networking website.
