Lamar Odom Drug Rumors: Kris Humphries Concerned Kardashian Drama Will Affect NBA Star's Career?

Kim Kardashian's ex-husband, Kris Humphries, is reportedly concerned about Lamar Odom following claims suggesting recent drug reports may have been leaked by the family of Odom's wife, Khloe Kardashian.

The Boston Celtics power forward, 28, was infamously left blindsided in 2011 when Kim, 33, abruptly filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage and for months afterwards he was constantly subject to negative media reports. In recent days reports of an alleged "drug" addiction surfaced on TMZ.com about Odom, 33, amid claims that he and Khloe, 29, are experiencing marital woes and Humphries reportedly sympathizes with the father of two.

"[Kris] was never friends with Lamar before he married Kim, or after the broke up however, Kris feels really bad for the guy and thinks the Kardashian public relations spin machine will have a negative effect Lamar's NBA career," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"Kris knows firsthand, as he was the victim of countless attacks by a tabloid website during his divorce from Kim," the source explained. "That same website has claimed Lamar was missing when he wasn't, and this is just the beginning. There should be a support group for the former husbands and boyfriends of the Kardashians!"

Odom, who re-signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012, was reportedly being considered to sign on again with the team for another season, but the bizarre new rumors about an alleged drug problem could have jeopardized any possibility of this, according to NBCSports.

A source claims that while the Clippers are reportedly not interested in the veteran NBA star, the Los Angeles Lakers, who he played with for five years, are open to re-signing him. Industry critics remain skeptical about whether there is any truth to these claims.

"The Lakers are a family and even though Lamar isn't currently on their roster, that doesn't matter, he's a two-time championship Laker," the source said.

"Lamar needs to go to rehab and he's been told by the team that if he goes and completes treatment, there'll be a spot for him," the insider claimed.

Odom and Khloe, who have been married for almost four years, have not yet publicly addressed divorce reports, but a source claims the free agent has grown increasingly concerned in recent days about who exactly is behind the drug rumors.

"[Lamar] absolutely believes Khloe's family has been leaking stories to the tabloid press about his drug use, and his trip to rehab last year. Khloe has been very private about Lamar's drug addiction as she had done for the past year," a family insider told Radar.

"The last thing Lamar needs is for his battle to get sober made public. Khloe is also extremely angry that details about Lamar's past trip to rehab and recent failed intervention were published on various gossip websites," the source explained. However, there is little to no evidence that Lamar does drugs, went to rehab, or had an intervention.
