Lauren Conrad Engaged, Reveals Ring (PHOTO)
Lauren Conrad and her boyfriend William Tell announced their engagement over the weekend, and the former "The Hills" star unveiled her engagement ring.
Dating for almost two years, Conrad and her fiancé had just moved in together in Los Angeles' Westwood area, but now have plans to tie the knot.
"I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend," the 27-year-old fashion mogul posted to her personal blog on Sunday, Oct. 13. "I am beyond thrilled! Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process."
The post included a snap shot of Conrad's round-cut diamond engagement ring
She later added, "We're engaged," to Twitter.
"Thank you guys for all the sweet messages," Conrad added. "It means so much to me : ) Feel like the luckiest girl in the world!"
Furthermore, an update on her blog revealed a deluge of fans' messages.
"William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes," Conrad posted. "Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment : )"
Conrad, native to Orange County, Calif., is best known for starring on MTV's "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" and later "The Hills."
In a recent interview with Marie Claire, the best-selling author opened up about her romance with Tell, explaining that her relationship with the musician-turned-law-student is based on key similarities.
"He is very good for me because we have a lot in common as far as where we grew up," said Conrad speaking to Marie Claire. "It's the first time I'm with someone and I'm not explaining things."
Conrad's reality television star persona also relates to Tell, who encountered fame after playing in the band Something Corporate.
"He understands a lot of things that people don't always get," said the "L.A. Candy" writer.
Meanwhile, Conrad has penned "The Fame Game" trilogy books and made a career in fashion- she owns both LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown fashion lines.
The fashion mogul recently splashed a cool $3.74 million on her new home with Tell, according to TMZ. The new 4,300 square-foot home boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms in addition to a remodeled kitchen and an expansive back yard complete with a basketball court, reported the gossip website.
"They are really excited they took this step," an insider told Us Weekly at the time of the purchase. "William knows he wants to marry Lauren."
