Todd Burpo, author of "Heaven Is For Real," explains the heart of the new movie based on the best-selling book.

"We wanted to tell a message that's uncompromising and yet not preachy," says Burpo, a pastor in Imperial, Neb.

He believes that the story, based on his family's experiences after his son Colton said he went to heaven during life-saving surgery, will provide an opportunity to people unlikely to go to church to hear about God.

'Heaven Is For Real' hits theaters April 16.
